Gospel Playlist

This is a new feature replacing "Playing on the Radio", but will be similar because it will include music.  I will be sharing songs from my "Gospel Playlist" on my phone. The gospel is good news.  It reminds us what Christ has DONE for us.  As I share, I hope it will be an encouragement to you today.  Song today is:  At the Cross  by Chris Tomlin

Sermon Notes: But ...... based on Nehemiah 9:16-32

Introduction: My introduction last week focused on various views of God that people in the church and in our culture have.   We looked at who God is based on Nehemiah’s prayer.   God creates, God keeps his promises, God rescues, God provides.   Opening : How do you view yourself? How do you view humans? How do you view characters in the Bible? Abraham-lied, Noah-got drunk, David-committed adultery, killed someone, Peter-denied Jesus, Paul-killed Christians ·          As I mentioned last week, Nehemiah 9 is the longest recorded prayer in the Bible. Playing on the Radio

Here's a song to remind us that it's all about Jesus.  At The Cross is a great song by Chris Tomlin.  My daughter, Molly, plays this song on constant repeat.  I love the line "where sin and shame are powerless." There's a place where mercy reigns and never dies There's a place where streams of grace flow deep and wide Where all the love I've ever found Comes like a flood Comes flowing down [Chorus:] At the cross At the cross I surrender my life I'm in awe of You I'm in awe of You Where Your love ran red and my sin washed white I owe all to You I owe all to You Jesus There's a place where sin and shame are powerless Where my heart has peace with God and forgiveness Where all the love I've ever found Comes like a flood Comes flowing down [Chorus] Here my hope is found Here on holy ground Here I bow down Here I bow down Here arms open wide Here You save my life Here I bow down Here I bow down [Chorus]
