Today is the Kid's Christmas Program at Hesston MB.  Join us at 10:10 for our worship service which will include 2 and 3 year old and preschool and Kindergarten Go Deeper Hour Classes singing as well as the Hide N Seek Kid's Choir. As I always say, you never know what will happen at a Christmas program. A special thanks to Lisa Yoder, Traci Hickman, and Nancy Hofer for all their work on Wednesday nights with the choir.  The program this year is titled, "Angels, Say What?" Here are a few pictures of programs over the years:

Kid's Christmas Program Today

Today is one of my favorite Sundays of the year because it is our kid's Christmas program at church.  As we as pastors like to say, "anything can happen."  Join us at 10:10 a.m. as our 2 year olds through 4th graders share the story of Christmas through their program, "Shepherds, Sheep and Savior."

Give More Gospel

Today I preached on the topic of "Give More" from Advent Conspiracy.  Below are my notes from my message which tied in with our kid's Christmas program. My theme is Give More. I have one point this morning- Give More Gospel   Define the gospel or draw a picture of what the gospel is.   How people understand gospel §   It’s what you say or what is shared at end of sermon that gets people saved §   It’s what starts the Christian life, then we move on to something deeper §   It’s a philosophy. For example, the gospel according to JL. §   It’s a genre of music §   It’s evangelism-It’s door to door, shouting from street corners (Repent) §   It’s a lifestyle or how we live (be the gospel or live the gospel) You might be the only Jesus someone sees. It’s being good. It’s WWJD. Quotes on the gospel §   We are not only saved by the gospel, but we also now grow by the gospel…We never leave the gospel behind. (...

Children's Christmas Program

On Wednesday night, I was able to watch our Hide N Seek kids and fuzion students practice for the Christmas Program.  It was so exciting to see our children praising God and our 5th & 6th grade students reading Scripture & other readings and doing puppets.  There is nothing like watching children worship.  So, join us this Sunday at Hesston MB at 10:10 a.m. for our Children's Christmas program.

Sing

This week, has been full of singing in our home and church. Last Sunday, Bethany and Jennea Heinrichs led our children in great music to worship Jesus as part of our Christmas program. The kids did a great job and they had so much joy singing the songs. It was great to watch each of them. That evening, we continued our singing as we went caroling at Schowalter Villa (our local nursing home). It was great hearing the harmonies and singing of multiple generations sharing the gift of song as an act of service to the elderly. This week, our family has become hooked on Sing Off on NBC. It is a singing competition that started with 8 acappella groups. Each night some of the groups are eliminated. I have to admit it is the first time I have actually voted for anything on TV. The kids were so into it. These groups have tight harmonies and have all been great. It is amazing how all of the music is from their voices alone. Absolutely no instruments! We look forward to the finale...
