Verse of the Week

My Aunt Kay Jean suggested I start sharing a verse of the day.  I liked her suggestion but decided instead of a verse of the day, I would share a verse of the week.  Be reminded of who God is from His Word. Amos has some difficult words to read as the nation of Israel faces exile and punishment for their sins.  However, as God does throughout Scripture, He redeems, restores, and reconciles.  Listen to these words from the end of Amos:  “In that day I will raise up      the booth of David that is fallen and repair its breaches,      and raise up its ruins      and rebuild it as in the days of old, 12  that they may possess the remnant of Edom      and all the nations who are called by my name,”      declares the Lord who does this. 13  “Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord ,      “when the plowman shall overtake the r...

Joshua 1:8-Meditate on it day and night.  "Sound a lion makes when it consumes it prey."  We need to consume God's Word. Nobody wants to hear stories that are still in process.  We are not exempt from worthless storylines.   There's nothing you can do to take yourself out of the game. Principles apply to all storylines no matter how dark. God's storyline-Reconciliation, Redemption, Restoration, Rescue, Repair Conflict is like cancer.  It eats away at relationships.
