Last year, I wrote a curriculum for our 2nd-4th grade classes at our mid-week program at church called Hide N Seek.  The curriculum focused on who God is. As part of that curriculum, my friend Brittni Rhodes, made images to convey the truth about who God is.  I would like to start sharing these images weekly as a reminder of the good, great, and awesome God we have.

I am continuing to read The Gospel Mystery of Sanctification by Walter Marshall. It was recommended to me by my friend, Russell from Dallas.  It is heavy book, but it has a lot of gospel gold in it.  Here are quotes from Chapter 2: If you want to keep God's law, he must equip you to do it. I am reading The Power of Right Believing by Joseph Prince.  I know some of you might question his theology.  I am reading his book (as I do with all books) with Scripture right beside me.  I was blessed by this quote today: "Many think they have to do more in order to be more holy, accepted, and loved by God. The truth is, when you behold Jesus more and see His love, His forgiveness, His abundant grace, and His gift of righteousness purchased for you with His own blood, you will be transformed supernaturally. Holiness is a by-product of seeing Jesus in His grace. When you see Jesus and receive His love and grace every day, your heart is transformed inwardly."

Do you agree? I have had several conversations lately on this very topic. When God looks at you, what does He see or think?  I was not raised to believe God was mad at me or was waiting for me to mess us so He could strike me down.  Where does this belief come from? Yes, God is holy.  Yes, sin must be dealt with.  But both of these are solved at the cross.  One who is holy and without sin took my sin and made me righteous.  Here are some verses to think about today: 31  What, then, shall we say in response to these things?
