Equipping Future Generations from Psalm 78:1-7
Opening: When I first met Steve Toews at a restaurant in El Dorado KS to talk about the position I now hold, he mentioned to me the phrase “Equipping Future Generations.” This phrase intrigued me. We have seen a picture of that phrase as we have celebrated parent/child dedication. As we begin, what does the phrase “equipping future generations” mean to you? Introduction: Psalms were used in worship. This particular psalm was written by Asaph. David appointed Asaph to serve “by giving constant praise and thanks to the Lord God and to lead Israelites in worship.
