Gospel Playlist

This is a regular feature now that replaced "Playing on the Radio." I will be sharing songs from my "Gospel Playlist" on my phone. The gospel is good news.  It reminds us what Christ has DONE for us.  As I share, I hope it will be an encouragement to you today.  Song today is:  Live Like You're Loved by Hawk Nelson

Playing on the Radio

This is another repeat, but it is my last post about some of my favorite songs from Hawk Nelson.  These guys really "get" grace, gospel and what Jesus has DONE for us.  Today, be reminded how God is for you, about God's great love and His forgiveness FOR YOU.

I have been amazed at the great theology of the band, Hawk Nelson.  Some of my favorite songs on my playlist are Drops in the Ocean and Live Like You're Loved.  So over the next few weeks, I will post a few more of their songs on the blog.  Only God can satisfy our deepest longings and desires.

This is a repeat, but the song is amazing.  I thoroughly enjoyed Hawk Nelson talk about it on "Behind the Music" on K-Love.  These guys really understand theology and how understanding who we are will change what we do and say.

Here is a new song by Hawk Nelson called "Live Like You're Loved."  What a great reminder to live from our identity not for it.  I love the chorus: "So go ahead and live like you're loved. It's ok to act like you've been set free. His love has made you more than enough. So go ahead and be who he made you to be."

God is for you!

When you mess up, how do you think God views you?  As you go through your day to day life, are you concerned if God likes you?  Do you wonder if He might be up in heaven mad at your for your lack of good works or your sinful thoughts or actions?  Many people see God as angry and if not angry, only putting up with them. Their view of God is dependent on how well they are doing. If they are doing well in loving others or in the spiritual disciplines, then God is happy.  However, if they are selfish or skipping devotional times, then God must be disappointed.  Others view difficult circumstances as punishment from God for their sin. As I was listening to the radio recently, I was amazed at a truth that quickly emerged.  This truth is my favorite Bible verse which is Romans 8:31.  It says, " What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" Be reminded of this truth: God is for you.  No matter what happens today....
