All ages and the Hesston community is invited to Hesston MB Church (610 W. Randall) this Wednesday, November 14th to join us as we put together boxes for Operation Christmas Child.  We will gather from 7-8 p.m. in Fellowship Hall to put boxes together followed by dessert together.  All donations of items and cash ($9 needed for shipping of each box) are appreciated.   The following link has a list of items that are permitted.   https://www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child/what-goes-in-my-shoebox-suggestions/

Tonight was our all church family night for Operation Christmas Child. Thank you to all who make it possible through donating & cooking food, donating & filling boxes, setting up tables & chairs & more. We had a great turnout & hope you had a great time. We are excited about our all church family night this Wednesday, November 16th.  This is open to all ages and the community.  Our evening will start with a meal at 6:00 p.m. followed by singing and lesson at 6:45 and filling Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes at 7:15.  There are several ways you can donate:  items for shoeboxes (see list on Hesston MB Facebook page here) , finances (each box needs $7 for shipping-checks made payable to Hesston MB) and/or you can donate food for the meal (sign up here ) Below you will find a few pictures from previous years.

This Wednesday, November 18th is our third annual all-church family night.  On this evening, all of the Wednesday night ministries are canceled and everyone gathers at the church.  It is for all ages not just those with kids in Wednesday night ministries.  Our family night includes a meal provided by the church, fun/learning, and filling Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes. Last year, we filled around 100 boxes.  So, we would like to try to match the number again this year.  Below you will find the suggested items to donate as well as those items that are not allowed. You can also donate $7/box for shipping costs. We hope to see you next Wednesday! SUGGESTED ITEMS:  ► Start with a “WOW” Gift A doll, a soccer ball with pump, soft toys, plush stuffed animals, a musical instrument, an outfit or shoes.  ► Toys Balls, toy cars, skipping rope, marbles, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yo, slinky,  finger puppets, wind up toys, toys that light up ...

We had a great evening at Hesston MB for our first all church OCC Night. The highlight for me were the different generations present. It was fun to have many ages represented. We had a great meal cooked by Richelle & Melinda. My goal for shoeboxes was 100 & we ended up with 165. We hoped for 200 people & exceeded that number as well. To God Be The Glory!
