Christ defeated sin

Because Christ has defeated sin
For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace. (Romans 6:14)
18 to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’ (Acts 26:18)
“Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; (Romans 4:7)

I am forgiven
13 And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 14 by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. (Colossians 2:13-14)
And behold, some people brought to him a paralytic, lying on a bed. And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven.” (Matthew 9:2)
Indeed, under the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sins. (Hebrews 9:22)
I am writing to you, little children, because your sins are forgiven for his name's sake.  (1 John 2:12)
