Verse of the Week

My Aunt Kay Jean suggested I start sharing a verse of the day.  I liked her suggestion but decided instead of a verse of the day, I would share a verse of the week.  Be reminded of who God is from His Word. Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God,      the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary;      his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint,      and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary,      and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;      they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary;      they shall walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:28-31)

Comfort, comfort my people, says your God. 2  Speak tenderly to Jerusalem,      and cry to her that her warfare is ended,      that her iniquity is pardoned, that she has received from the Lord 's hand      double for all her sins. 3  A voice cries: “In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord ;      make straight in the desert a highway for our God. 4  Every valley shall be lifted up,      and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level,      and the rough places a plain. 5  And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed,      and all flesh shall see it together,   ...

Therefore the Lord waits to be gracious to you,      and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the Lord is a God of justice;      blessed are all those who wait for him. (Isaiah 30:18)

You keep him in perfect peace      whose mind is stayed on you,      because he trusts in you. Trust in the Lord forever,      for the Lord God is an everlasting rock. (Isaiah 26:3-4)

Verse of the Week

My Aunt Kay Jean suggested I start sharing a verse of the day.  I liked her suggestion but decided instead of a verse of the day, I would share a verse of the week.  Be reminded of who God is from His Word. You will say in that day: “I will give thanks to you, O Lord ,      for though you were angry with me, your anger turned away,      that you might comfort me. “Behold, God is my salvation;      I will trust, and will not be afraid; for the Lord God is my strength and my song,      and he has become my salvation.”                  With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.   And you will say in that day: “Give thanks to the Lord ,      call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples,      proclaim that his name is exalted. “Sing praises to the Lord , for ...

Verse of the Week

My Aunt Kay Jean suggested I start sharing a verse of the day.  I liked her suggestion but decided instead of a verse of the day, I would share a verse of the week.  Be reminded of who God is from His Word. There shall come forth a shoot from the stump of Jesse,      and a branch from his roots shall bear fruit. 2  And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him,      the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,      the Spirit of counsel and might,      the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord . 3  And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord . He shall not judge by what his eyes see,      or decide disputes by what his ears hear, 4  but with righteousness he shall judge the poor,      and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall strike the earth with the rod of his mouth,      and with the brea...

Verse of the Week

My Aunt Kay Jean suggested I start sharing a verse of the day.  I liked her suggestion but decided instead of a verse of the day, I would share a verse of the week.  Be reminded of who God is from His Word. The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness, on them has light shone. You have multiplied the nation; you have increased its joy; they rejoice before you as with joy at the harvest, as they are glad when they divide the spoil. For the yoke of his burden, and the staff for his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, you have broken as on the day of Midian. For every boot of the tramping warrior in battle tumult and every garment rolled in blood will be burned as fuel for the fire. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of his government and of peace t...
