You Are Reconciled

What does it mean to be "in Christ"?

For 2017, the phrase I am focusing on is "in Christ."  Each week, I will post 1 verse that includes the phrase "in Christ". I look forward to growing in understanding of what it means to be "in Christ." 17  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18  All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19  that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5:17-19)

God is Reconciler

God is Reconciler For if while we were enemies we were reconcile d to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconcile d, shall we be saved by his life. (Romans 5:10)   22  he has now reconciled in his body of flesh by his death, in order to present you holy and blameless and above reproach before him, (Colossians 1:22) Therefore, we are reconciled All this is from God, who through Christ reconcile d us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; (2 Corinthians 5:18) that he might create in himself one new man in place of the two, so making peace, 16  and might reconcile us both to God in one body through the cross, thereby killing the hostility. 17  And he came and preached peace to you who were far off and peace to those who were near.  (Ephesians 2:15-17)

You Are An Ambassador

“We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.”   (2 Corinthians 5:20)
