Today is my beautiful redhead's 15th birthday!  She is such a joy and even though she wasn't too fond of me for the first 9 months, she has grown to like me or at least make fun of me through SnapChat filters. There is so much about her that reminds me of her mom (looks, personality, interests). I hope we have a great day celebrating you!  Happy Birthday, Megan.

Today, my daughter Megan turns 12.  I'm excited for a mission trip to Guatemala with her in exactly one month.  She has been excited about it for over a year.  She is a beautiful young lady inside and out.  Happy Birthday, Megan!

Today is Megan's 9th birthday!  Here are two pictures of her today and my favorite picture of her as a toddler.  I can remember seeing her for the first time with her red hair.  It has been fun watching her grow up and watch as her personality develops.  She is a spunky, independent, imaginative, girl who loves to sing. Happy Birthday Megan!

Happy Birthday, Megan!

Today, Megan turns 7. I cannot believe that she is that old. She has been getting ready for her birthday for months. She gets to pick where we eat for supper tonight. Then, Grammie and Grandaddy will be here for cake & ice cream. Next Monday, I am taking about 5 girls to the pool for her friend party. As were reminiscing about the day of her birth, I am reminded about the "dad of the year" award I should have received. (Note sarcasm). Bethany was 37 weeks pregnant and as a youth pastor I went to camp. Now to my credit, I was in the same town so if she went into labor I could make it. And sure enough-she did. So, she drove herself to pick me up and we headed to the hospital. Megan was born mid-afternoon. As I shared before, Megan was our answer to prayer. She was supposed to be born premature. Bethany was supposed to go on bedrest . But our beautiful, redhead was born as our biggest baby to date and the longest pregnancy for Bethany. God truly answers praye...

Happy Birthday Megan!

Today is Megan's 6 th birthday! I cannot believe that my little redhead is six years old. She has the whole day planned. Breakfast at McDonald's, treats for park day, lunch with Dad, opening presents, and her Grammie making her a cake. She is so excited! I cannot believe that six years ago today, I was at Colorado Christian University at M- Fuge with the youth group for camp. I remember getting a phone call about 6 in the morning from Bethany saying that she didn't sleep well and was in labor. She drove the car to CCU and picked me up and I drove her the rest of the way to the hospital. What an amazing woman! I was so blessed to have great adults who stepped in at the camp for me so I could be with my wife and new baby. Thanks Ben Borger ! We arrived at the hospital around 7 a.m. and Megan came into the world at 1:10 p.m. She was truly an answer to prayer as you know from Bethany's previous pregnancy with Mackenzie. She was supposed to be early, but thanks...
