We often forget.  We see throughout history the Israelites and the church forgetting. We need to be reminded often of who God is in Scripture, church history and in our lives and churches. The names of God are important because these names are not just what God does, it is who He is.  I hope this will encourage you as you are reminded of how good, great, and awesome our God is. Messiah Messiah is also translated as Christ.  It means anointed one.   41  The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). (John 1:41) 16  Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.” (Matthew 16:16) What it reminds me?  Jesus was sent to rescue His people.  He was set aside for a special purpose for us.  It was a name for Jesus to remind us why He came

Logos Logos means word. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:1) What it reminds me?  Jesus was present at creation.  Jesus is God.  Jesus has unity with the Father and Holy Spirit.  The Bible teaches us about who God is.  We need to be careful to not let our belief in the Bible replace the Trinity.  As J.D. Greear has said, many "believe (functionally speaking) in "Father, Son, and Holy Bible." We do not worship the Bible, but instead God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy...

What a great God that wants His people to know Him.

The following Scripture does not talk about water, oceans, or the deep.  However, the image that comes to mind for me is that of an ocean.  Just when we think we have reached the bottom, there is more grace.  Be reminded of the abundance of grace available to us. For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. (John 1:16)

14  And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)
