Do not fear!

Here is a verse that has been shared often in our home lately.  I hope it will be a reminder to you that you don't need to be afraid about whatever you are facing. 


10 So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
 This passage from Isaiah 41:10 gives us several promises:
  • God is with us
  • God is our God
  • He will strengthen and help us
  • He will uphold us 
Trust in these promises of God as you go through your day today!

Sermon Notes "Plans" based on Acts 10:24-48

Introduction: I would like you to think about the word “plans”. Write down on your bulletin some plans you have for: this week, summer, your future, etc.   I am a planner so I love to know what is going to happen.   Yet we also need to keep in mind a Scripture from Proverbs 19:21 “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” We are going to see from the story of Peter and Cornelius, two great leaders who had plans yet God had a different plan and purpose for them and for others.
