Word for 2018-abide
- The Greek word "meno" which is a verb means "to stay". It can also be translated as abide, continue, dwell, endure, be present, remain, stand, tarry for. We will also see these in the Old Testament as well.
Each week I will share a verse (or two) to help us better understand abiding.
3 Then I told her, “You are to live with me many days; you must not be a prostitute or be intimate with any man, and I will behave the same way toward you.”4 For the Israelites will live many days without king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred stones, without ephod or household gods. (Hosea 3:3-4)
A sword will flash in their cities;
it will devour their false prophets
and put an end to their plans. (Hosea 11:6)
