Vacation Review

Well, I am in Yates Center at my parent's house. We left Branson today around 2:30 p.m. The kids did well again on the car ride. Molly slept for almost an hour and a half. My pick for lunch was one of my favorites: Chick-Fil-A.

We left last Sunday to drive to Tennessee. We drove for 9 hours and the kids were great. We stopped in Poplar Bluff, MO for the night and finished the trip to TN on Monday morning. We had a great time seeing Judy, Steve, Katie (as the girls called her), Brandon, Bryan, Grandaddy Red, & Meemaw. They were great hosts. The kids swam in the pool, enjoyed breakfast at McDonald's (Grandaddy's idea and treat), riding 4 wheelers, and just playing together. We left TN on Wednesday morning and drove to Branson.

We arrived in Branson in time to eat and get a movie for the night. On Thursday, we headed to Silver Dollar City. All of the kids had a great time. We saw two shows: JEERK & Veggie Tales (Molly kept telling me to clap). I rode all 3 water rides-got soaked on Water Tobaggan. We rode Thunderation and several rides in Grand Exposition. Molly loved the frog and butterfly ride. The kids really enjoyed the Flooded Mine. We ended the day riding the train. We ended our day with swimming.

On Friday, we returned to Silver Dollar City again. We started by riding Fire in the Hole and then Mitchell rode Powder Keg. He was a little nervous but loved it. We also went to Peter Gossamer Magic Show-it was very good! We rode Lost River again and kids played at Geyser Gulch and Splash Harbor. Then rode Flooded Mine, Thuderation twice, and ended at Grandfather's Mansion. We again ended with a trip to the pool. We met Abbie & Jason & Maddie & Morgan at The Track. They rode bumper boats and go-carts. Wendy's ice cream for the drive back to the hotel.

On Saturday, we had Krispy Kreme for breakfast. Then went shopping and Bethany found some good deals. The kids got some new school clothes. After shopping, we went to the Water Chute. The kids loved it and Molly did too. Her little legs had to be tired walking up that hill, but she made it the whole hour. It was a great end to our Branson vacation. We arrived safely in Yates Center and look foward to seeing friends from Iola tomorrow and spending time with family before heading back home on Monday.

I have loved my time with my family! I look forward to blogging more again soon.
