Flowers

This is a picture of our new flowers blooming.  I love the colors and the different ways that God has created each of these flowers to grow.  Have I mentioned that I love Spring?

The one disappointment though is that in a few weeks all of these flowers will be gone.  Maybe some new ones will bloom, but these particular ones will be dead.  It reminds me of a verse from Isaiah 40:8 which says, "The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever."  We can trust that even though the grass and flowers wither and fade, God's Word will stick around forever.

Why not pick up the Bible today and see what God has to say to you today?

Sermon Notes "Plans" based on Acts 10:24-48

Introduction: I would like you to think about the word “plans”. Write down on your bulletin some plans you have for: this week, summer, your future, etc.   I am a planner so I love to know what is going to happen.   Yet we also need to keep in mind a Scripture from Proverbs 19:21 “Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.” We are going to see from the story of Peter and Cornelius, two great leaders who had plans yet God had a different plan and purpose for them and for others.
